PM Says Cambodia Achieved Success Out of Great Difficulty

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen shared that he informed the Head of the Singapore Intelligence Service that the success of the ASEAN Summit, which Cambodia chaired, was a valuable achievement for the country.

Addressing nearly 5,000 students at the graduation ceremony for students of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia on Wednesday morning, 1 March 2023, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the peace Cambodia has achieved is very valuable and must be maintained.

He added that Cambodia went through countless difficulties before reaching this current era of peace, which is a valuable achievement for the country. He also recalled the work of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) that contributed to saving the lives of the Cambodian people, in establishing peace for Cambodia and in the process of implementing a successful political process for peace.

The Prime Minister added that Cambodia is now peaceful and developed, and now only has the issue of landmines to address.
